Seventeen more former NC State student-athletes have joined a lawsuit that alleges “sexual abuse, sexual harassment, and sexual exploitation” by the school’s former sports medicine director, Robert Murphy.
With the latest additions, the total number of plaintiffs in the case has risen to 31.
What the lawsuit alleges
The lawsuit centers on allegations of sexual abuse, sexual harassment, and sexual exploitation involving Murphy during his time at NC State.
The filing’s expansion reflects a growing number of former student-athletes who say they were affected and are now pursuing legal action as part of the same case.
