Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid will miss at least three games after suffering a strained right oblique, the team announced Saturday.
The injury removes one of the league’s most impactful players from Philadelphia’s lineup for a minimum of the next three contests. The 76ers did not provide additional details beyond the diagnosis and the minimum timetable.
What it means for Philadelphia
With Embiid unavailable, the 76ers will have to adjust their rotation in the frontcourt and redistribute minutes and responsibilities in the games ahead. Embiid’s absence is significant given his central role on both ends of the floor.
