Free-agent guard Kevin Huerter intends to sign a three-year, $27 million deal to return to the Detroit Pistons.
The agreement keeps one of the league’s established perimeter shooters in Detroit, giving the Pistons continuity on the wing as they continue building out their roster. Huerter’s shooting profile has made him a valuable floor-spacing option throughout his NBA career.
For Detroit, retaining Huerter provides another experienced backcourt and wing piece capable of contributing from beyond the arc. The move comes as the Pistons work through the offseason with an emphasis on maintaining and adding pieces around their core.
Deal Details
The contract is expected to be worth $27 million over three years. Once completed, Huerter will remain with the Pistons rather than continuing on the open market.
