The Sacramento Kings will finish the season without two of their top players after Domantas Sabonis and Zach LaVine each underwent season-ending procedures on Wednesday.
Sabonis had surgery on his knee, while LaVine underwent surgery on his hand, according to league sources. Both operations will sideline them for the rest of the season.
Major losses for Sacramento
The absence of Sabonis and LaVine removes two central pieces from Sacramento’s rotation. Sabonis has been a focal point for the Kings, and LaVine has been one of the team’s primary scoring options.
With both players now done for the year, Sacramento will have to navigate the remainder of its schedule without their production and presence in the lineup.
