Philadelphia 76ers forward Paul George is set to return to action Wednesday when the Sixers take on the Boston Celtics, following a 25-game suspension stemming from a failed drug test.
George, who was sidelined during the suspension, said mental health issues led to his use of performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs).
Return Comes Against Eastern Conference Rival
George’s first game back will come against Boston, a marquee matchup for Philadelphia as it reintegrates a key veteran into the rotation.
The 76ers will have George available again after he served the full 25-game penalty. His return provides Philadelphia with an additional option on both ends of the floor as the team continues its schedule against top competition in the conference.
