Milwaukee Bucks coach Doc Rivers said Wednesday that Giannis Antetokounmpo remains out as he continues to deal with a left knee injury.
Antetokounmpo has missed five straight games because of the issue, and Rivers emphasized that while the two-time MVP is moving in the right direction, he has not reached the point where he can return.
“He’s progressing,” Rivers said. “He’s just not healthy.”
Status update
The Bucks have been without their franchise cornerstone for the past five games as he works back from the knee injury. Rivers’ comments indicated that the team is seeing improvement, but that Antetokounmpo is still not ready to play.
