Tramon Mark delivered in the final moment Tuesday night, knocking down a fadeaway jumper from just inside the 3-point line with 1.1 seconds remaining as Texas edged NC State 68-66 in a First Four matchup.
The late basket capped a tense finish in which the Longhorns had to survive a closing push from the Wolfpack. After building enough of a cushion to put themselves in position to advance, Texas watched NC State rally late and turn the game into a one-possession contest in the final seconds.

With the score tight and time nearly expired, Mark created space for the fadeaway and converted, giving Texas the lead it would not relinquish. The shot proved decisive as the Longhorns held on through the final 1.1 seconds to clinch the two-point win.
The victory moves Texas out of the First Four and into the NCAA tournament’s first round, while NC State’s comeback effort fell just short in the closing possessions.
