North Carolina star Caleb Wilson is continuing his recovery from a fractured left hand and is learning to play with a cast on his non-shooting hand as he moves toward a return.
Wilson described himself as inching closer to coming back “soon,” an encouraging step for a UNC team navigating his absence.
Adjusting on the fly
With the injury affecting his left hand, Wilson has been working through the practical challenges of playing while wearing a cast. The focus, he said, has been getting comfortable and functional with the added limitation while maintaining his usual level of play.
Wilson’s progress marks the latest development in his return-to-play process after the hand fracture, with his status trending forward as he continues adapting.
