Nikola Jokic authored another dominant stat line Sunday afternoon, posting 35 points, 20 rebounds and 12 assists for a triple-double. It wasn’t enough to lift the Denver Nuggets, who dropped a 128-117 decision to the Golden State Warriors.
Golden State’s win stood out for the circumstances: the Warriors were undermanned, playing without their four highest-paid players, yet still produced enough offense to outscore Denver by 11.
Jokic’s big day, Denver’s shortfall
Jokic controlled the game across all three statistical categories, combining scoring, rebounding and playmaking in a performance that typically swings outcomes. Denver, however, couldn’t turn that production into a road win as Golden State kept pace offensively and pulled away on the scoreboard.

Even with significant salary and star power unavailable, the Warriors found a way to generate 128 points and secure the victory. The result handed Denver a loss despite one of the league’s most complete individual performances of the season.
